Moreover, I say to YOU, my friends, Do not fear those who kill the body and after this are not able to do anything more. 5 But I will indicate to YOU whom to fear: Fear him who after killing has authority to throw into Ge·hen´na. Yes, I tell YOU, fear this One. 6 Five sparrows sell for two coins of small value, do they not? Yet not one of them goes forgotten before God. 7 But even the hairs of YOUR heads are all numbered. Have no fear; YOU are worth more than many sparrows.
One of my favorite scriptures!

I've read this scripture and analyzed it many times. I love it. Ok, it only means not to be afraid of men on earth. The ones that persecute you here on earth are the ones that can only kill your body, and nothing more. Not to be afraid of what people can do to you on earth but fear God, see?
Fear him ina good way.
And the second part means that God remembers every single one of us individually. So even if we die in the Great Tribulation, He will remember us, and we will be resurrected. =)

Yes I use that verse often! People need to know the seriousness of sin and Hell- and they need to know that GOD is in control and holds our breath in His hands! And that he is giving us a FREE gift out of His grace- salvation through Jesus Christ. That is the only way to Heaven- to His kingdom- to eternal life with Him.
God has the power to throw both soul and body in Hell as it says in Mark. People take that lightly and that is a scary thing- they do not realize the time will come, when everyone will be judged by God. If you are not for Him, you are against Him.
Mark 1:15
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"

The major religions on the Earth contradict each other left and right You can't all be correct. And what if all of you are wrong? It's a possibility, you know. You must care about the truth, right? Well, the way to winnow through all the differing contentions is to be skeptical. I'm not any more skeptical about your religious beliefs than I am about every new scientific idea I hear about. But in my line of work, they're called hypotheses, not inspiration and not revelation.
What I'm saying is, if God wanted to send us a message, and ancient writings were the only way he could think of doing it, he could have done a better job.

Sometimes there is a choice... do I fear God or fear man...
'Man' could be 'peer pressure' or it could be an authority pressuring you 'not to worship God'
it's like Rahab the prophet ashe had a choice... does she fear the king and turn in the spies... or fear God and save them... she picked God and it prooved to be a wise choice.
