If you have taken something from a store and get caught and they take your details and call your mum to pick you up..does that mean you've got a criminal record or will they tell you if you have got one?
by the way none of u know the story becoz i did not actually steal it..u dont know the story so dnt judge me.
i havent been 2 court and the police didnt take me..ive never done anthing bad in my life

If you did not get arrested when you stole the merchandise of another, and you have not been notified by any court that you have a warrant for the theft, then you don't have a criminal record. A criminal record, in the USA, is compiled of several different things, one of which is an arrest.
So, if you didn't take anything, why are you asking anyway. How did you take something with stealing it in the first place?

No, a person needs to be booked by law to have a criminal record. If the store just asks your mum to come and pick you up and take you home, even if they have your details you do not have a criminal record. However, there is the chance that the person will be put on a watch list.

The only way the police will have a record of your details would be if they recorded your details.
The store do not have the means to do this. Even if the Police were notified, your mother would know by now!

Don't worry you will not have a criminal record in fact doubt if anything will even be recorded I wouldn't judge you at all couldn't have been that bad or your mum would have known straight away so stop worrying take care

No you have not. They have taken your details,which means, you are now known to them. They will be on the lookout for you. Should this happen again,you will be charged,and you will have a criminal record.

From what you say you wont have a criminal record, if you weren't cautioned or charged it wont have been recorded.
Go to your local police station and have a chat with them, they'll put your mind at rest.

You only have a criminal record if you have been charged by the police. nobody else is able to do this. you have nothing to worry about.

no i am security for target. they take your info incase u come back or if they wanna press charges. if they called your mom and not he police then prolly they aint gonna pursue it and no u have no record.
