You think the entire explanation of my worldview is simple? That says something about you and your beliefs (whatever they may be) in my opinion. I actually thought quite a lot about my worldview.

The simplest and shortest way I can put it to you - I used rational thinking and I educated myself with the attitude that the truth is not afraid of scrutiny.

To believe means faith. Faith means the lack of conscious rational thought. Atheists think - those with faith need not think since some one else has done the thinking for them. The question atheists have is why you let some one else think for you. If you analyze and discover that there is a god or that what was written really did happen - and most of it has been proved to not have happened - then it would not be a matter of some one else thinking for you. Until then accept that atheists think you believe with out thought.

I am an athiest and i like the fact you want to get people's opinions and arn't so closeminded!

I grew up in a non-religious family, not knowing hadly anything about religion. I learnt about it in school, but it seemed alien to me and so i never felt the need to follow it.

Maybe its just the fact that i've never had anything bad happen to me, and so have never needed the 'faith' in someone.

Im happy living my life how i do - i think its enough just to be a good person in life. I define that as trying not to let what i do hurt others. And thats enough for me!

the story is full of inconsistencies and contradictions.I dont subscribe to fear.It doesnt hold up to reason and is not independently corroborated.
The evidence that Jesus survived the crucifixion and died is Kashmir is huge.
Christians themselves cant agree so we have a zillion deno, minations
it reeks of mob mentality.
more harm than good has come from it
evolution is afact
the world is older than 6000 years.........proven fact
Paul had an agenda of his own and oblitertaed the true message of christ
most Christains are hypocrites. Thus I dont see them out doing Gods works(I know God hasnt called them yet!

If there is a deity, it would be all powerful and all good. If a god was all good and all powerful then innocent people wouldn't be murdered.

If an all powerful god existed and that is the justice of an all powerful god, then we'd be better off without one.

Sorry, a friend of mine just told me a friend of her's was murdered.

Because the burden of proof is on those who claim gods exist and I have yet to see any compelling evidence to sway me.

There is no evidence that any gods exist and I have no reason to believe that any do.

Because it is not logical - and because religion is literally too good to be true. Belief, to me, seems to be just what people WANT to believe, not an actual logical belief.

OK then. Prove to me that there is a god. Science is something that you know about. It is REAL. We physically know it. So what is your side backup of the debate?

Why should I? Give me some real proof that a god exists and i'll believe.
