why can't i use my debit card t subscribe to American singles.com?

my master card debit keeps being rejected when signing up for subscription, i want to use it as debit and i can't get any answers why my debit won't work

tell them its a credit card and mark its a credit card---do not punch in any four digit code numbers.

Does it have a mc/visa logo? if it doesnt then you cant use it as a credit card.

You can only use credit over the internet.
