Hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen gas. The foam you see is due to the oxygen being formed.

Enzymes work on the epidermis layer of skin, they're fantastic for exfoliation. Great for sensitive and dry even acne skins. One thing, if you do administer to the skin you must time the process. Each manufacturing company should come with instructions and all the details. If your talking just of hydrogen peroxide, never use on a deep puncture. Once again enzymes are great for exfoliating the skin even if its a cut or scrap you'd want it clean so no infection develops.
