Singapore is NOT part of China.
I'm surprised that some people still do not know about this fact.

This only goes to show that Royal Mail is irresponsible and unreliable.

Singapore is an island, city and COUNTRY located just north of the equator and sandwiched between Malaysia and Indonesia. It is tropical and its national languages are English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil.

Shanghai is 8 hours' flight away from Singapore, in the country of China. As it is a Chinese city, they speak Shanghainese and their national language is Mandarin.

I am surprised with Royal Mail's ignorance w.r.t. this!!!!

but you make the mistake of thinking that an English national will help to speed your package throught the system, however it is christmas, and the system is log-jammed, so they offer low wages, and try to hire any idiot who applies for the job.

most idiots are too lazy to work so latest workers to enter the UK get the jobs. Kurdish and Polish chaps snap up the sorting office jobs, and they never had an empire, so perhaps do not know the difference between Singapore and Shanghai...

that's amazing i have no idea why they do that, the only similarity i know is both begin with the letter S. I believe there are others who share the same experience. Have you tried reporting it to their customer service?
