I will be traveling to Bangkokg, Thailand to learn Thai there.
What Thai language school is the best?

I learn at AUA. It takes a long time, hundreds of hours because you learn by listening. In the early lessons they draw on the board so that you know what they are talking about.

The idea is that you learn the words as opposed to translating to Thai from English. It should also make your pronunciation much better.

AUA has the reputation for producing the best Thai speakers, but it does take longer than other courses. I have completed 500 hours and still a long way to go.

The good thing is that there are no fixed time you just turn up when you want. This means it will fit in easily with whatever else you are doing.

One to One learning is the best way to learn and it's not expensive. There is one at Thonglor Sky Train Stop, but I have no idea how effective it will be.

Anyhow, get a girlfriend here U will be able to speed up your Thai quickly.

AUA is the classic place to learn Thai in a formal environment.

i learned quite a bit of basic thai through Linguaphones thai P.D.Q. (prety darn quick) n it is so use full n very easy to learn.When u get there u should have no trouble finding a school

go to AUA *american university alumni association* it is located on Ratchadamri Road... I am Thai so I should know...
