It is difficult for me to get to a gym because I work full time and have a young child. Do home fitness vieos really work and how often will I have to do it?

Being former military, there is no way around it but doing the work and you DON'T need all those exercise gadgets and videos that they sell on TV.

Run 2 miles a day ( 25 minutes or less depending on how long it takes)
20 push ups
20 sit ups
20 jumping jacks

Do this 5 times a week. This will help you get back to where you can exert yourself more. They have the strollers for runners also so you can take your child with you.

You can also go to a gym, check to see if they offer spinning classes. After one week you will notice a difference. You can also purchase a spinning bike for your home (Pricey!!) if you like it. But spinning will absolutely get you in shape to pass any fitness test

Also, you know what is fun and it gets you fit. Playstation2 has a game call Dance Dance Revolution. Its just like one of those dancing things they have in the arcade. It comes with a dance mat that's marked and a game that has several songs on there. You can play at whatever speed you want and all you do is step where it tells you to step when it tells you to step. It's a good workout.

I do approximately a hundred and fifty crunches when I did a 20 minutes run/jog. Then do 50-60 Kicks the place you lay on the floor and stability on your butt so as that your ft and and your returned is off the floor, take turns lifting up your legs up and down mutually as staying in this place. it works wonders for the decrease abs! i've got executed it 3 days each and every week for 2 weeks and that i'm taking off to ensure greater definition already. additionally, carry out a little leg lifts and bicycle crunches (those are the superb)

The best way to get fit quick is to start running and keep on running. It's free to do and you can do it wherever and whenever you choose. You probably won't enjoy it at first but after a while you will get hooked. When you get back from a run it's the best feeling.

Excercise on your stairs, up and down for 15 minutes per day. You will soon be fit.

If you exercise for 30-40mins per day minimum that's be fine and fitness vids are good way of doing it, i do kick boxing, yoga, pilates (good way of losin weight and firmin up) and runnin up n down stairs x

Start now.
Exercise at home.
You don't need a gym.
Just exercise until you sweat and go some more.
Sit up's, push ups, squats, etc.
