My hair is getting thinner and it's breaking and no matter what I've tried, it's not getting any better. Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do to make it better? I don't want to cut it too much and I've been trimming it but it isn't helping. Should I go get it moisturized somewhere or what? Would a hot oil treatment help? I used to have thick hair but now it's kinda thin. If anyone knows what to do, please help!!!

It may be caused by stress...you might want to check with your doctor and see about what kinds of vitamins or other treatments you may used to help.

I would consult a professional. Until then you may want to try a hot oil treatment a few times a week. You need to figure out why your hair recently started doing this. Are you pregnant or nursing? That will take nutrients away. Are you on a new diet? Try an intense therapy shampoo and conditioner as well.

Wash your hair once or twice a week with an egg yolk. Just the egg yolk. do not wash it every day with the egg, rub it into the hair and after 2 minutes rinse it out. Do not use shampoo with it. You can shampoo regularly on other days.
It has some minerals or properties in it that helps the hair loss. My father swore by this, as he was balding and never did get much more bald patch than when he started doing this.

refrain from excessive treatments such as coloring and stuff. do use hair moisturizers and apply hair tonics after each wash. eat a lot of fruits and avoid hot flavours on your diet. consult your physician about the condition, it's probably just stress but seek medical help before going to a hair salon.

good luck :)

yep u said it urself... hot oil works wonders... just mix a cup of hot coconut and olive oil and a few dried hibiscus leaves (ifu can get em that is) and leave it settle for half a day.. rub this concotion of ur hair and leave for about an hr or two... wrap ur head wit a hot towel for the oils to seep into ur scalp... dont 'pour' it on ur hair... rub it in gently.. wash off with baby shampoo... other shampoos wil be too harsh for u rite now.. do this for a month... u ll see results...

I've had the same problem. My beautician said it could be due to aging (I'm only 33 for crying out loud) or nutrition. I haven't been eating that healthy for the past few months and she told me to improve my diet and to start taking flaxseed oil supplements. We'll see what happens!
Good luck to you too!
