Sinus specific or just a simple Upper Respiratory Infection (AKA "Cold")? If you tap just below and above your eyes on the bony pominences, does it cause excruciating pain, what if you just apply a small amount of pressure to those same areas? HAve you been suffering bloody noses? How are your ears? Pain in your teeth? If you take simple over the counter cold medications, does it help? If you have pain, frequent bloody noses and cold med.s just don't seem to help. If you have fever chills and or night sweats, you should consider seeking professional medical help. I'd send you my bill, but I'm retired.

A bad sinus condition comes with head and face pain, but not necessarily together. You could have mild annoying headaches or real nasty ones where you feel your face will crack open if you bend over or turn quickly. Your sinus are behind your cheeks, nose, eyes and forehead and you may experience pain in any of these areas. You may also experience tooth pain from the pressure your sinus put on your jaw. You might think you have a cavity or a bad tooth! Another symptom of bad sinuses is bad breath. You may also regularly taste blood, have a stuffy or runny nose. A cough or sore throat from a sinus condition is when the mucas drips or drains down the back of your throat. You may experience a sore throat when you wake up. This could be from the sinus drip through the night. Penicillan or other prescription anitbiotics usually take care of sinus infections, but continuous sinus problem may indicate more serious treatment. YOu should see a doctor for severe head or face pain, tasting blood or if this condition lasts for a couple weeks. A mild sinus infection can get worse.

Must not forget, sinus infection is often a misdiagnosis of a nerve inflamation..The facial nerve exits the skull in the sinus area and is often mistaken to be sinusitis. The determining factor is found when pressing in the notch located in the medial part of the eyebrow. Another hole in the skull is on the inner aspect of the cheekbone.. again approximating the sinus in that area. Should there by tenderness to soreness of that point, it is reflecting an inflammatory process of the nervous system. Specifically the cranial nerves.

Should this be found to be the area of problem, there will be other symptoms along with it.. all involving the cranial nerves and its influence or, an out of balance situation with the other part of the autonomic system. they balance the system. Should one side be reduced in its effectiveness, there will be multiple symptoms.

I suffered from my sinus for a long time, my head used to ache in a strange way, as if I had a ping pong ball in my forehead, and whenever I lean forward I could feel it move more to the front, I used to take 6-8 panadols each day. I also had a soar throat and a strange cough. even my upper jaw used to hurt sometimes
Sinus is easy to diagnose, a simple x ray will do. Good luck
