couldn't you be bothered to read that page yourself?

halfway down that page it tells you:
Trial Software: McAfee VirusScan (30-day trial), Microsoft Office (60 Day Student Teacher Edition)
Third-party Software: Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, Microsoft Works Version 8.5, Intuit Quicken New User Edition 2005, Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment, Adobe Acrobat Reader, InterVide, WinDVD 5,Sonic Solutions RecordNow! Basic for Toshiba, Sonic Solutions Drive Letter Access (DLA), Microsoft Windows Media Player v10

you get a 60 day trial of microsoft office, after that you will need to buy it to continue to use microsoft word and powerpoint.

it's a standard budget laptop, nothing amazing.

it looks like it will have microsoft word, although i'm not positive about powerpoint. although, there is a free version of microsoft office called open office (google open office, it should show it to you). open office comes with microsoft word, power point, and excel. i would want more than 512mb ram, i have 2gb of ram and love it. i would also want a bigger hard drive, mine's 80gb, and 6 months after getting my laptop i've used up half of it and am considering an external harddrive just to store pictures, movies, and music. i would look at dell, they have a lot of good sales right now, and if you look in there online outlet store, they have a lot of good deals. I got my laptop for $900 (including tax) when it was originally supposed to be priced at $1600 (without tax). i can't guaruntee you that great of a deal, but you know. the only things wrong with these are that the buyer changed their mind after it was built, or something cosmetic. some listed under cosmetic actually don't have anything wrong with them except for the fact that dell has discontinued that particular line (like mine).

Not listed in the specs, so it does not. It is NOT normal for a computer to come with Word and Powerpoint. There are not part of a standard Windows install. You would need to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office to get them.
