There's this guys at the gym that I always check out. He's really good looking. Obviously he noticed me and before he left the gym he wrote down his number on a piece of paper and gave it to me without saying anything. So, after waiting a week, I called him even though my dad told me not to. He said that I made a mistake by calling him because I shouldn't be the one to make the first move. I saw the guy yesterday and he was cool, we worked out together and talked and now he wants to take me out. So my question is, Did I make a mistake? Should I back off now ? How should I act?

Uh, HE DID MAKE THE FIRST MOVE when he gave you his telephone number. Not sure what the problem is, you called and he asked you out, why are you questioning this. What aren't you telling us?

To tell you the truth, it really doesn't matter who makes the first move. Imagine if he didn't give you his number and you didn't call him, you guys would still be checking eachother out at the gym and still waiting for someone to say something. I think he's the one who made the first move by giving you his number and seeing if you call him, which you did. There's nothing wrong with it.

You didn't make the first move; he did by giving you his number. So you made the second move. It is all gravy, baby! Just go with the flow and see where it takes you. But be careful because he might be after just one thing. Don't lead him on.

No! Do what your heart tells you. Your dad lived in a time where men made the first move. This guy was probably just as shy as you! Go for it, What can you lose?

You should go out with the guy. If he wrote his number down for you, then he likes you. Have Fun!
