Something to do w/ guns that doesnt have an inceridbly high deployment rate (In either Army, AF, Navy, or Coast Guard)

Are you aware of the military's primary function? It is to train for, and if necessary, engage in war.
If you are not prepared to defend your nation through combat, you should seriously reconsider the military.
If you want to work with weapons for the military, and not be deployed, then you should work for a contractor to the military, and maintain your civilian status.

I get the idea you didn't exactly join for the chance to serve and sacrifice for your country.
First thing to do is to grow a set, and THEN join the military.
EVERY MOS has a "high" deployment rate right now, numbnuts.
If you're working with guns, plan to be over there more than you're here. My husband's old unit goes on their fourth (yes, FOURTH) deployment in January. Three others from Mar 03-Feb 04, Dec 04-Mar05, Sept 05-Dec 06.
Please avoid anything in the 11/13 series, as I don't want ******* like you serving next to my husband.

If you have a good ASVAB score and no trouble with your police record, try 14E (Army) Patriot Missle Laucher Operator. It's a pretty good job because alot of terriorists don't have Missles or Airplanes. Oh, and I guess by guns you mean rifles, guns are alot larger than rifles and usually on something like a tank. Any MOS you take you have to learn and practice on your rifle.

If you are dealing with guns, you stand a pretty good chance of being deployed. There is a correlation between the two.
You might go for aircraft armament related MOSs. And try to get on strategic bombers rather than tactical aircraft. Otherwise, you will be sent to airbases around the world.

US Navy Ordinance Armer (OA) You will be deployed on a regular basis but it will be with the confines of a ship. You get to work alot of really big guns and aircraft armament.

Be smart and become a 21Bravo that is the MOS for you go for it and be one of the ARMY STRONG soldiers.....

every mos has a weapon and most soldiers can be deployed.
