I lost twenty pounds in two months by eating healthier and eliminating sugar and fatty foods almost entirely. I excercised about 4 times the whole 2 months, so the excercise wasn't really needed. Also, try to drink 64 fluid ounces of water a day. It sounds hard, but you get used to it. If you can, stick to drinking water and fruit juice occasionally.

She might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs!

Check with a dietician. You may be able to lose weight by eating foods that stimulate your metabolism. Modified situps can help too. Do them in sets of 5, rest for a few minutes and do them again. hope this helps.

Go on an anti-yeast diet (vegan with some lean meat).

Check out the library link at www.hufa.org for some books with anti-yeast diets in them. This is the most stringent type of diet I have seen, and it is helping me (cause I have a yeast infestation as well as diabetes).

I would try to cut down on deserts and fatty foods as much as possible. Then you won't have to excersise as much because you have less calories to burn off.
