I'm making a sweet potato casserole and I used brown sugar instead of white that the recipe called for. Will it be okay?

Yes it will be richer and have a stronger sweetness but since it is done just say it was intentional. It will be fine.

Yes, it will most likely taste wierd. Brown sugar is white sugar with molasses....basically a less refined sugar. You can substitute white for brown with some small taste differences but not the other way around.

Yes. Actually brown sugar is better than white with sweet potatoes. It has a little molasses in it which adds flavor.

YES! It will taste great. I use brown sugar, instead of white, in my apple pie recipe as well.

For that it will be fine, it might even taste better. I wouldn't do it if you were making cookies or something like that, in those recepies it is not only there for sweetness but also for texture.
