YES! The following experience happened to me! I had an abcess that I hoped would go away, and so I left it. After a weeks or so, the pain was so great that I had to go to the dentist. I was quite distressed when instead of removing it, he gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics and told me to come back after the course had finished. I later found out that the antibiotics are to speed up the growth of the abcess, which may be good for the dentist, but OH LORD, the pain increased ten fold and it became unbearable. Whilst at work, with the pain going from my gums to the whole of my mouth, up my cheek and into my ears I then became light headed and felt faint. The next thing that happened really scared me at the time, both of my hands went into spasms. My fingers curled up and locked, and I could not move them. I staggered up out of my seat and nearly collapsed. The dentist removed the abcess that very day, and told me that the faint feeling, and spasms were directly related to the pain from the abcess.

Well, tooth abscess' are not good for your health, and as you probably know ..they hurt. But I don't see how the tingling in the hands and feet ..fit in! Maybe the light headedness, but not the other stuff.

Best you see a doctor .. that tingling could be poor blood circulation and would also cause light headeness..

Are you taking a lot of pain pills for this abscess?? That could be the problem..

But see a doctor please..it's worth it. He'll give you something for the tooth too.

good luck..

As a dentist I would say the symptom you mention is unlikely to be directly related to your abscess. If the tooth is however causing significant pain and loss of sleep and requiring medication or you have significant facial swelling you are unlikely to feel one hundred percent.See your dentist I am sure you will feel better and your symptoms may well improve, if not a trip to your GP then becomes an option.

i doubt those symptons are caused by an abscess. mix equal parts salt and baking soda then dab a piece of damp cotton wool in it and put between tooth and gum were the abscess is, this will draw the poison out if left in overnight. spit the poison out then gargle with salty warm water. worked for me
good luck

Dental abscess is very dangerous when left alone. The circulation in the head and neck area is very profound and could easily involve a septicemic condition.
Go to a dentist immediately. If you cannot find one, go to an ER in a hospital which provides good standard of care.
GO NOW!

it depends on how long you have had this abscess. an abscess is an infection! it COULD spread to other areas, is your face or neck swollen? are you running a fever? i would see a doctor asap! if it is not related to the abscess then something else is going on i would not wait, you can NEVER be too careful with your health. good luck!

Your symptoms sound like anxiety. If you are experiencing pain from your abscess and fearful of seeing a dentist,it could be anxiety which is causing your symptoms. If you are taking anti-biotics for your abscess, check that what you are feeling is not a side effect.Hopefully you have seen a dentist,I sincerely hope you feel better soon.

It might have to do with that. You need to really take care of that abscess soon.
