NOOOOOOO!!!!! You cannot dye your hair while pregnant, and it's not a matter of hormones or anything like that. It's because hair dye is EXTREMELY toxic, containing many poisons, including LEAD, and is dangerous to a developing fetus. Hair dye IS absorbed into the bloodstream.

Plus, if you have a severe allergic reaction (which can develop even after you've already colored your hair before) you can cause stress and life-threatening conditions for your baby and yourself.

If you really must color your hair, try something mild like henna and rainwater. You must really use body art quality henna, and not the pre-mixed stuff you find in the stores. It's non-toxic, but the drawbacks are that you must leave it in longer, and it can only color shades of red. I love it myself, but not everyone does. Look into it if you're interested. The best site is below.

Good luck.

your iron levels will be all over the place while you are pregnant, if you have high iron levels on the day you get your hair dyed, then the dye will badly affect your hair. You see, dye reacts to metal elements, and of course, iron is a metal.

plus, your vitamins are all going to your baby so it would be a good idea to let your hair relax whileyoure prgnant, or that would be another factor towards your hair snapping.

if you are still in any doubt, the best person to see is the doctor/ midwife

In the old days, no one did it. Nowadays there is no problem with dying your hair when you are pregnant. The old hair color products were harsh and some how absorbed into the cells. The new hair colors are gentle and do not get absorbed. If you want a gentler hair color, you may look into Ammonia free products, such as Revlon Colorsilk.

Anything that contains a chemical and is applied to the skin is absorbed by your body. This is transferred to your baby. If you must dye, try not to do it too often, but really, it is not recommended. It all dependes on your take on smoking and drinking while pregnant - same rule applies!

No, the dye has chemicals in it that can move through your bloodstream and affect the baby. Anything you ingest or put topically on your body can affect your baby. You do not want to be responsible for hurting your baby.

no, because the amonium and the peroxide will affect the baby, try using a non-amonium coloring, the diference is that you can only make your hair darker or the same tone, it will last about 20 washes
