Ive had it for years now, and often get red symptoms as well. I take Adalat for it now but occasionally I get a red face and hands. I didn't go to my Doctor about the problem until it was nearly to late. It caused heart palpitations, excessive wind and hyper -mannerism when things went wrong. Its taken 8 years to relax and stabilise the problem. Get to your Doctor now and catch it early before it catches up with you!!!

The reason the face goes red is because there is less fat on the face and all of the blood vessels are close to the surface of the skin. The effect is over the whole body and if you think you have High Blood pressure you should get treatment. High BP can lead to strokes and heart conditions.

well prednisone is a steroid and comes with a lot of negative side-effects. For instance my grandmother went psychotic on it. My mother stayed up for three days on it. So if your having any trouble I would go get checked out, because if your having headache and blood pressure problems its better to be safe then sorry.
