I'm scanning bascketball cards to sell on ebay, when i scan em however it takes up to 5 minutes and the picture is so huge it cant load into ebay. I have a brother fax machine, also a scanner and a printer. so please help me out thanks

Take a look at the settings in your scanner software. The scanners are usually set to scan at 300, 600, or even 1200dpi. That will create image files on your PC hard disk that can be several MB in size!

An image for eBay should be good enough at between 75dpi and 150dpi. That will create a 50KB to 70KB jpeg file that you can then upload and it won't take all day to scan, save, or upload.

see if there is a way to reduce the resolution of the picture being scanned. Also, look at the manual included.

when you scan the pisture a little window should pop up.
next you need to click creative tasks. then you click enlarge/make smaller. then you click smaller. it should make it smaller.
(this should work if you have windows xp)
