Registered Nurse here; Avocados are excellent to include in part of a balanced diet. Avocados have a very high fat content, however this particular kind of fat, providing it is used in moderation is excellent for people. Plus avocados are also high in Vitamin K, a fat soluble vitamin, and Vitamin A, plus they contain antioxidants which assist other cells in maintaining healthy tissue. One would not want a steady diet of Avocados, but a Avocado 2 to 3 x /wk. Is very good for you.
Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.

Avocados have an unfair bad reputation amongst dieters. They are SO good for you. I eat half an avocado every day and it makes no difference to my weight at all. They are delicious and are full of the good fats which you need to help get rid of the bad fats. They are REALLY good for your skin.

It depend on what sort of a diet your on, if it is weight watcjhers as mentioned well then avocados are height in points, i think 7 points avtually so that quite height. but my friend is doing this new blood type diet and she eats them ever day in her salad.
So it all just depends on the type of dient you are on.
they are lovely though, mix with low fat mayo and onion cut up in to really tiny bits, makes a lovely dip :)
Good Luck with weight loss

No avocados are good for you. They are however very high in fat so weightwatchers are going to hate them. However it is the good kind of fat.

They are a good fat... a good fat that actually helps to metabolize bad fats.
They are awesome for your skin and hair and are tasty too! We have them sliced on BLT's to offset the fat in the Bacon. Try it it is yummy!
I also eat them alone (whole ones, skinned and sliced) with tomatoes and watercress with rice wine vinegar, olive oil and Italin spices salt and pepper...
Some fats, you should never worry about! Just be carefull of your calorie intake for that day.

They are good for you because they contain high amounts of Vitamin A, however they also contain quite a bit of fat/sugar, so they should only be eaten in moderation. HTH : )

Avacadoes are high in calories and cholesterol but they also contain antioxidants. As with anything else, moderation is a good thing.
