It's because they can get away with it.
Your not allowed to stand up for your country.
It's not because I'm a racist,it's because it's wrong.
People work really hard for what they have got then someone just walks in and gets it on a plate and all we HAVE to do is smile and not say a word. It's all wrong!!!

I am the child of a legal immigrant. I have met hundreds of other legal immigrants over the years from all races. I fully support legal immigration. I fully support crack-downs on illegal immigration. The same routes used by illegal immigrants to get into this country could be exploited by terrorists. This is a real threat.
I know that people will accuse me of racism because of this. I don't care. Ad hominem attacks are the last resort of those who do not have a valid argument to support their opinion.

Because they have no better argument! It is SO easy to become a legal American but people chose to break the law and slip into this country and make this country unsafe. They don't exists! Doesn't anyone get that? If a crime happens and an illegal is at faults....lets say a 12yr old gets kidnapped....they have footage, pictures, and fingerprints. But that person does not have a legal address and can slip away.
If they can't respect this country and break the law right off the bat by slipping in, why would they fight to protect us from outside dangers, or better yet...what stops them from breaking the law again?

It doesn't make Americans racist! The illegal aliens aren't starving they come from countries with rich soil and great weather 365 days they can grow their own food!
Americans preserving our common heritage as Americans have been labeled as white supremacist. The reason being is, for expressing and acknowledging the importance of gaining the total control of the U.S. boarders, downsizing the resident immigration population and severely restricting new immigration. They also believe that their government should actively restrict immigration.
The concern with the cultural, economic, environmental, and security impact of the influx of immigrants does not necessarily arise from racist, xenophobic, or supremacist beliefs. It is the result of American citizens own experiences with the efforts of a large and expanding immigrant population in their communities. The fact is immigration is the significant factor in U.S. population growth and over use of the countries social and health and education programs by illegal aliens.
Security, economy, and party interest are well and good, but the fundamental issue in immigration debate is who we are and what sort of nation we want to be.

The question of illegal immigration is complicated. Would you do whatever it took to save your family from starvation? Would you help a friend or a relative that was desperate? Our country was founded by immigrants so what makes now so different than the potaoe famine that sent the Irish here, or the Italian influx, or the Dutch, or the Vietnamees boat people? What's the deal? The neocons know that hate works in their favor so they stirred up the country against a helpless foe. Have a ball. For every one of you that falls prey to this demogagry, there are ten more who don't.

There is no logical argument to being an illegal immigrant.
So, they play the race card. They are angry and desperate, and it is all they have.
It used to make people feel guilty. Doesn't work anymore.

Being against illegal immigration does not make you racist.
Proponents of illegal immigration are trying to make it a race issue for their selfish ulterior motives. They are using smoke and mirrors to cloud the real issue. Our government has use illegal alien issue as a way to support cheap labor for the business lobbyist . Instead of enforcing laws against businesses who hired illegal aliens the government condones it. Now since there is so many illegal aliens in the country both political parities are looking at the advantage of having them on the voting rolls. Some economist support illegal aliens as a means to compete in our global economy. See it works this way, in addition to exporting jobs overseas to help businesses they see importing cheap labor as a plus. At any rate, its all smoke and mirrors and instead of the Mexican government fixing their corrupt government they just export their problems to the USA.

Americans are standing up for America.
America is a nation of laws governing every aspect of our lives.
It disgusts us that the illegal immigrants of every race and creed are flaunting the laws and demanding "rights"
The only right they have is the right to return from whence they came post haste.

I think race does come into it. Everyone has these feelings whether you want to admit it or not. If someone gave you the choice whether you could have move in next door, an immigrant Mexican family with 5 kids, that dont speak English, uneducated, mariachi playing, tequila swigging, mexican flag waving etc. etc. etc. or a white Canadian family who would you choose? I am not saying it is right I am just trying to make an honest point.

What part of the term ILLEGAL do we not understand? Calling someone a racist because they want the government to enforce the law is just a poor tactic often employed by "Professional Ethnic Victims." If someone does not agree with a law there are legitimate ways to change the law. However, calling people denigrating names really is not helping the situation.

The race card is totally illogical in my opinion. I'm not a racist in any fashion or form. I am against criminals though. In my mind that makes me a law abiding citizen, not a racist.
