My dog is 14 yrs old,she's 40lbs terrie/mix and very sick for 4 days now.She has an infection in her right ear so bad that she can;t walk or eat on her own,Ive been bottle feeding her,She's getting ear medicine, doggy asprin and vitamins.She's getting so weak , Iam getting worried I Love her so! Anyone out thier might have any answers to share I would truely love some help. Would penicillin help or be more harm to her? I'm not sure at this point,Thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart for taking time to read this,I'll be waitting,maybe someones thoughts may just put the spark back in my Marlena's eyes just awhile and I could smile and be thankful, for today is Thanks giving day!

You can clean her ears with peroxide ,then dry well.You may have to see a Vet for the ear infection meds,but you could try the Gentimicin 1/2 cc per 3 lbs, 2 x daily.Same as penicillin.

You really need to take your dog to the vets. Even though it's Thanksgiving the emergency vets should be open. Your dog is obviously suffering and in a lot of pain and no one on yahoo answers can diagnose your dogs ear infection and tell you that penicillin or any other anitbiotic will work, only a vet can do that after seeing your dogs ear.

Please don't wait any longer, please take your dog to the emergency vets today. Your dog will thank you for doing this.

This dog MUST be seen by a vet - there are different types of ear infections. The vet has to know what she has to be able to put her on the right medication. Ear infections are extremely painful - no delay is acceptable!

different types of infections are treated with diferent types of antibiodics. You need to see a vet for the correct type of medication. also some type of ear drops are need to be put inside the ear.

I dunno but when my chihuahua had an ear infection I took her to a vet to get it checked out and they gave her some ear drops that elped so check in with your vet soon as you can.
