Ummm, i'm not entirely sure if this helps...but as far as I'm concerned, "asl" stands for American Sign Language (because I know quite a bit of it)...but it could mean something totally different in "chat language" (I'm assuming you mean on instant messanger and such). Seeing as I'm 17 and use IM a lot, I should know...but I guess not...lol.
