I always cook mine in a Baking Bag. This makes it very moist, and speeds up the cooking time. For a 12 to 16lb. turkey: bake 2 to 21/2 hours. Or, if you aren't using a Baking Bag; then if you have a meat thermometer- the turkey is done when the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
If you have neither the Baking Bag nor the thermometer, then when the turkey is deep golden brown, and the leg is starting to separate from the body, its done.
Good luck.

Always use a meat thermometer. The turkey is done when the thigh temperature reaches 180°F on a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh next to body, not touching bone. Move the meat thermometer to the center of stuffing; temperature should be 160 to 165°F. When the stuffed turkey is done, remove turkey from oven and let turkey with stuffing stand 15 to 20 minutes. This stand time provides an added measure of safety for stuffing temperature to reach 165°F. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

I have just learned that u can cook a turkey in 1:30 hrs. Cut the turkey in parts. Go to Rachel Ray's web site to learned where to cut. Brush the turkey with butter, poultry seasoning. Cook the breast first for 1/2 hour, add the other parts and one more hour you are done. Is even easier to carve later. In her web site Rachael Ray explains everything. Vale a pena!

it will take about four hours. At 350º, it takes aprox 20 minutes per pound. You will want an (instant-read) thermometer to register 165º in the breast when it is ready to come out of the oven. The turkey will continue to cook while it is resting on the counter. Let that baby sit for minimum of 20 minutes before carving, or all the juices will run out onto the plate.
