I know for sure that amount of ram isnt enough these days. You should have 512 at the very least.

1. Norton has been known to take away from overall PC preformance, try another kind like Trend Micro PC-Cillin
2. Get more RAM (at least 512 total), your video card might be integrated and taking away from it - you might want to get a better video card
3. Download AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 and Spybot Search & Destroy to scan for malware
4. Run a Scan Disk to get rid of any unecessary files
5. Run Disk Defragmenter

You say you use norton antivirus corporate edition to scan viruses and clean up your computer? huh. It's realy taks a HUGE memory on the RAM & you must have at least 300MB free RAM to run your computer fast. Of corse you need more. From 2 monthes ago i installed norten antivirus & my computer was VERY VERY slow because i have 256MB of RAM. Thanks.

Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html

you do need more ram, you also need to get rid of nortons because it is a resourse hog and will take ahold of everything you have on it. And you need to clean your computer of old files and temps. also do a defrag on it.
