Don't worry and don't attempt to stop her, it natural for them to do that, the temperature in house could be to hot or something, give it a little time and if she pants 24/7 then take her to a vet to have her checked out.

Labrador Panting

We see a lot of older dogs that pant constantly when they are in pain, such as with arthritis. But in a young dog, I would hope that is not the case.

I see a ton of young Labs and Goldens at the clinic that are just so excited and exhuberant that they pant a lot. Excitement, activity and also nervousness can lead to panting.

If your pup is eating, drinking and playing normally with normal stools and urine, I dont know if I'd consider this a bad thing, although if you are worried, schedule a vet appointment to get a thorough checkup for her.

Best of luck.

My lab pants a lot too. They tend to have extra skin around their necks and it is harder for them to breathe. Labs tend to be overweight also, so be sure she's not overweight, because that can cause heart congestion and one sign of that is panting. Don't worry too much about it, otherwise. Labs pant a lot and seem to drool a lot too.

You need to see a vet to rule out heart problems. A heart murmur would cause these symptoms. If she has pain this could also be the problem. A visit to the vet would rule these out and mean that you could stop worrying about it.

panting is normal it does not always happen when a dog is tired or sweaty but that is the most common reason. you may just need to leave your dog alone to sleep or refil his or hers water dish.

Give her water. Panting is like our sweating.
