Yes, honey you can lose it. I am from Midwest and was surrounded by people from all over. No one spoke like I did, with a deep country twang. After being the butt of a lot of "hick" jokes. I stopped talking. I just listened and copied how they talked. Eventually I lost it, but the country still comes out every now and then.
Why do you want to get rid of yours? That Brazilian accent is so SEXY! But do what your heart desires. Listen and practice. Good Luck!

totally
i don't know any foreighners but it's impossible not to have an accent
i used 2 live in london when i was younger and i moved up north to west yourkshire
and i caught the accent in less than 6 months
it's a very weird accent coz we miss out the 't' in all our words except at the begining of words
so if ya wanna talk slang 4 the rest of u'r life then u should move
it's guaranteed to make u popular if u move out again coz no one in the world speaks that accent except we yourkshire people.
otherwise
no u can't lose u'r accent unless u go 2 a place that has a different accent so that u can catc it and lose u'r brazilian accent...
sorry 4 the lecture
lol

Hey. I was born and lived in the Philipines. I found a way to loose my accent is to keep practicing. I used to reapeat what other people said so i know the word and knew how to say it. So you can lose your accent.

By the way, don't practice to much or you'll forget your native language.

Don't lose your accent! I don't know if you are a guy or a girl, but seriously it is really attractive especially in this country, if someone has an accent! Stay true to yourself and keep that sexy Brazilian talk!

yes, though I dont know why you would.
all accent is practice, you need training to use yr throat differently so speech therapy. should be infor on the web for free, consider this- the blond chick in abba could hardly speak any english but can sing it no problems with no accent. its all about re-memorising sounds.
you have learnt to speak like that , you can learn to speak like someone else.

If you are really serious about this, try going to an acting coach. They can train you to acquire or lose an accent.

If you're young, I'd say you have a fairly good chance of losing it. I don't see why you want to, though. If you're Brazilian I'm assuming your native language is Portuguese, you might lose your Portuguese accent when speaking Portuguese ; (

Keep your accent.
Consider the Susan Myers of the Desperate Housewives. She picked her last bf due to his accent.
Good Luck!

1. Lose.

2. You cannot perfectly lose an accent after reaching puberty. You can try to disguise it, but 98% of the time any person feigns an accent (or lack thereof), native speakers can tell.

Yes! My parents don''t have accents. Practice the sounds and words that you can't say, eventually you'll get it.
