how do you do a perfect neat quiff?

And i dont mean the elvis type,i mean a nice girly one. I sometimes put the front of my hair in a quiff but often see girls with perfectly neat ones and wonder how on earth they do it

Backcomb your hair from the root so it stands on end
Apply hairspray
Smooth backcombed area into quiff shape
Grip in an X shape, to secure it in.
Hairspray
Smooth with comb

If you're at an upscale restaurant, as an employee, you need to look really clean. A very neat pony-tail or chignon is the way to go. Also, people usually prefer to have their food handled by somebody with neat hair, pulled away from the face. If you don't like your hair totally away from the face, get a sideswept bang and flat iron it. You just want to convey cleanliness and elegance without looking like you're trying to pass for a patron.

Just practise loads in the mirror. There's no easy way to describe it, some people are more practical than others and if it doesn't come naturally you'll just need to keep playing with it.

And you need perfectly straight hair to pull it off, if the little bits in the front curl or frizz up then it will totally ruin the effect!

1)Back comb it a bit with a comb, not a hairbrush! This gives it body and lasting finish.
2)Spritz on some L'oreal Elnett hairspray, it wont leave your hair crunchy.
3)Secure it with TWO kirby grips, one on either side.
4)Watch everyone be jealous of your fantastic quiff!
