Sadly i'm alone this holiday. Everybody is out of town celebrating elsewhere. It really sucks.

I am alone because my Family doesn't want me near them on Holidays, but when I do go for a "visit"then I am ok,only for a few hours, once maybe twice a year when I make a trip(which takes me 11-12 hrs by car) to see them then the only reason they do want me around is because I go shopping with them for them, but when I back off on the spending then I am not ok anymore and it is time for me to go back to where I live and they go back to how things were as a happy family again since I am out of the immediate area again. I made some terrible mistakes years ago, about eight years ago now,but I have admitted to being addicted to the Internet back then, gotten away from the chat rooms, but still I am the bad person because of the mistakes back then,so I am being constantly punished for those mistakes by not being asked to attend Holiday functions as part of the immediate family, not given any kind of gifts for Mother's Day,but they did buy their Dad(who only in recent years came back into their lives, but lived within an hour of them all the time)a Recliner for last Father's Day,(I got a less than one Dollar card sent LATE)for Mother's Day by only one of them(I have twin Daughters who are now 23 yrs old). Sorry you have to be alone today too, wishing you a Blessed Thanksgiving anyway.

unfortunately there might be many more.
if you or someone is going through all this mess?...can you promise to your self that you will make things different for your own family so next time no one will be hurt like you.
I think we all should try to straighten atleast 1 thing in our lives......some one has to be the first to clean the mess in family life.
complaining,...feeling sad,..cursing the family or luck will not solve the problem.
you take charge from here...you will face difficulties,.you'll have to sacrifice but you can make future better for those who depend on you..Good Luck

No but my family lives in another state. So it's just my son and I. It can be very lonely. You could always invite friends over. Thats what my friend did. I work with her and she invited my son and I over to her house. Cheer up it really could be worse. You could not have family at all. You might want to take this time to think about maybe next yr invite all your family over and hope for the best.Happy Thanksgiving....

What do u mean first your family. Then why u want somebody to take holidays.you will find hundred thousand for that why you are keen to take SOMEBODY or ANYONE why u do,NT take your Feds for that /The matter is quite fishy.
