Politicians are supposed to represent the people's will. They aren't doing it. The majority of Americans do not want amnesty but special interest groups are getting their way with most issues.

What do you think the people will do if amnesty is given to illegals? Will they take action right away or passively wait for the next election?

From the way I see it the people are in majority for NO AMNESTY. The politicians will only do what big business wants, no matter what party they belong to. Then, hopefully, they will elect another liar (they are all liars and even if they are not, it is like me promising you the moon) that will try harder to give the people what they want. But it is easier to prevent a parasite, then to remove it and it's spread after someone has infected you with it. (Legalization legislation that is.)

People are like sheep, and the ones that do rebel will be quickly herded back into the group by the sheepdogs (Police) and will have no choice.

Illegals, most of them, are not refugees and do not deserve that status. If you legalize marijuana, then there will be an outcry to press on for other illegal drugs.

Well, in a way I was glad when Democrats took control because I know the country is ready for a change.. but I do know that they generally tend to be more lenient regarding illegal immigration, so only time will tell what they will do.

Most people are in favor of a border wall and cutting off funding to illegals. For proof, look at the propositions passed in Arizona by an overwhelming majority vote. But, will politicians do their jobs and fairly represent their people? We'll see. I certainly hope so.

American's are NOT known for passivity. It didn't take us long to retaliate against the terrorists. A lot of American's see illegals in the same light, as terrorists, as they rip off our country, and committ horrible crimes against us in our country, and even their's.
My feeling is that American's are not going to tolerate illegals, or our government sitting on their butts for much longer on this issue, we're getting d a m n tired of it, and each day, week, month that passes without something being done, our temper's flare higher. At least for the people I know, and talk to.
The answer to your question is, WE WILL TAKE MATTERS INTO OUR OWN HANDS, and then when election time comes around, HOPEFULLY, the people will make the right descisions, unlike last time, when for example, New Mexico re-elected Hector H. Balderas as House Representative (democrat), who voted NAY on border control, and the new wall.

You are right, Washington does think that most of us want amnesty, I do not know who they are calling on thses so called polls, like the one tuesday that said we 67 % to 33 % wanted amnesty. Here in the U S A we do not reward law breakers, and we need to keep telling Washington just that.

I don't understand the "racist" remarks, in my opinion it has nothing to do with illegal aliens. I believe people need to keep the bombardment up in letting their representatives know how they feel on this issue. There is a major election coming up in less than 2 years and many politicians jobs are on the line. Let them know how you feel!

What will Americans do? The Democrats will whine, the Republicans will start parroting a new list of canned talking points and buzz words, the talking heads on the news channels will display the usual mock outrage and the rest (the majority) will accept it as business as usual with no hope for change. Same as with everything else.

I think they'll passively wait for the next election, because politicians don't listen to the people anyways.

It's our constitutional right in order to protect ourselves from foreign aggressors if our corruptament fails to do so, but unfortunately most US citizens will only react with words, thus passively wait for the next election:(

Might be our own civil war finally - People are fed up with having to pay for the sponging off of our systems for US citizens. It's been made too easy to just show up and be given free food - housing - medical care - without no fear of being deported.

Take the mexican flag and ship them all home.....
and SEAL THE BORDERS.

I would actively seek a recall of every politician that voted for amnesty.
