Question unclear, however.......
Man was formed in God's image.
Many people read that and think: physical image.
Not so.
We are in His image (a reflection of Him) in the sense we can demonstrate certain qualities of His.
Example:
Love, mercy, kindness, forgiveness, patience, etc.
Of course, just because we have the potential to imitate these qualities does not mean we always do.

Man was formed and is the image of God and is spiritual, always was and will be. The mankind that we deal with now is not the image of God and we overcome this temptation of believing in the false man as we progress.

The most common assumption is that the Bible was talking about physical image, which it never says. Having talked to a Rabbi about it, he says "It's a creation story" actually one of two; just like all other civilizations came up with. Key word is Story.

Oh yes, the walking upright thing? Why do you think humans are so prone to back/spinal pain.

We truly do not know the image of God, we can only imagine what He looks like. He declares that we were made in His image, so, we are like Him in the physical form, but He is perfect, we are not.

"God created human being in His image and likeness"

Absolutely right! He said it, He did it. How can we guage it?
God gave us "holy" spirit from Him when we were conceived in our mother`s womb.
He gave us absolute free WILL ...and He had to honor that although we are just His creation.
Because He is perfect, God gave us a PERFECT human body form and its constituents.
Have you ever pondered how perfect is our body??? Very independent from other human, self-reproduction of genetics and its kind, all the body parts are functional by itself, self sustaining life and protecting of the well being of human body (read about the functions of skin, bones, muscles, nerves, blood & blood vessels, brain, kidney, lymphatics, and all other organs.), etc.etc.

When a Son of God (Jesus Christ) was born (who came from Heaven and with God), He chooses same human form because that is the standard form of his creations and Them. Jesus kept on telling us: You have seen the Father as you look at me.
Right now, Gods are in Spirit form with imaginary perfect human form (because that is the perfect form He wants to have, and He let us have it) but when we will all live in Heaven with Him, for sure He will be in visible form like human...like when He send angels in this world...they are too in this perfect human form.

That`s the reason why...
He allow us to be born to see the beauty of this world (His other creations), He is indefatigable watching, guiding, protecting us and with His all-FORGIVING being...just to retrieve back all His creations back to Him...because it is a waste just to let loose any of His creation.

God created us in His image and likeness. This means that we are the only part of all creation who can reason and use our consciences as guides for right and wrong.

God is a spirit creature so it wasn't the way he looked.
Angels can fly and do other stuff and we can eat and drink they can't.
It was our brains, that is what seperated us from the animals.
We can reason and use tools and we can contemplate forever.
Worry that we will die or is that the right thing to do.
animals don't do that.

Mirrors were invented some time ago. Look in it sometime. But if you mean how can we all look like him if we all look different it's probably the form. Like the body structure. How we walk upright and not on all fours.
