OMG. I'm sooo scared. Really hate/scared of injections.
Will they hurt? How many will i need? Are they big?
can someone please help me. Answer honestly, please

yes they will be excrutiating passout painful but they will be quickl and your mouth will be frozen if not from the pain killers then certainely from the pain. Once over, you will not feel a thing

-I- feel bad for "AGOLD-12" who obviously has a s--tty dentist. None of my patients say that, so maybe homey oughta shop around a bit.
IV sedation is the "best" - you will be virtually unconscious and have little to no memory of anything.
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is the next best; this won't knock you out but you won't be nearly as anxious.
As for the injections on their own.... Well, do you have earrings? No worse than those injection/piercings.
They usually put some topical anesthetic on the tissue before injection, which takes the edge off.
It's not comfortable, but I don't mind having my own teeth numbed as much as I hate getting my hair cut... go figure.

I had 3 taken out when I was about 17. I had a local anaesthetic because I didn't want to stay in hospital over night. It was unpleasant, but not painful. Once you've had the injections, your mouth will go numb and you won't feel them tugging and pulling your teeth. Just keep your eyes closed and tell yourself that it will be over soon. One of the operators held a hose type 'vacuum cleaner' in my mouth to suck up any blood. The other doctor/dentist did the pulling but one of my teeth broke as she removed it and she hadn't realised. She was going to leave the other part in my mouth, which could have become dangerous. Luckily, it got sucked up by the machine. Also, make sure they stitch you up properly and don't leave any loose 'threads' in your mouth as this will annoy you for days afterwards. I ended up pulling my stitches out a few days later as they became so unbearable! I'm not going to lie to you...It is unpleasant if you choose to stay awake. But see it as a test of your bravery and do it with confidence. Good Luck...

Just take your mind off the needle. They are fine and sharp and you will only feel a slight prick (something like an antbite) and then the area will get numb. Just be glad you are getting that anaesthic injection otherwise the pain you would feel when the tooth is being extracted would be unbearable. Nothing to worry.

You should just have them sedate you! I was scared to get sedated, but now I'm glad I did because the thought of being awake during that makes me cringe. I woke up and didn't remember a thing! See if you can be sedated.

I had mine out AWAKE,cut out because they were impacted.I have had everything under the sun done to me(unexpected),so don't panic,you will be fine,I promise.IT"S NOT SO BAD! Look at it as an oportunity to eat light,relax a little,and take some meds that will make you feel FINE!!!!

useful especially if you have lost teeth in

everyone is trying to scare you, have had all 4 of mine out and the pain was minimal. It just sounds like it should hurt. no different than having any other molors extracted.

OKAY I HAD IT DONE WHEN I WAS 19 , THEY TAKE NUMB YOUR GUM AND PLACE 2 SHOTS OF NOVACAINE ON EACH SIDE OR WHERE THE WISDOM TEETH ARE ..THEY DIG THEM OUT ..I STILL HAVE MINE . I THINK

Why do you have to be awake? Get the nitrous oxide.
