I was at dentist office in 2003 and spend $6,000.00 + and went back to same dentist 1 year later and he wants to charge me another $13,000.00. Does that sound right????

Well, it all depends on how much work you need to have done. It seems pretty steep, but are you having bridges, crowns, implants doen to replace missing teeth??? If so thats why. Let us know what your treatments have been and we can better help you more.

It all depends on what kind of work you need done. Extensive dental reconstruction can be very, very expensive. If you are concerned about the cost, call around to different dentists and see if that's the normal price for your area. You also might want to check out dental colleges. Oftentimes, they offer services at a significantly reduced cost.

The cost of dental care has went up so much in the last few years!
Instead of paying $13,000, I'd spent $3,000 on getting them all pulled & getting false teeth!! That sounds ridiculously high especially since you've had regular dental care.

if you are having a lot of work done than yes -- but i would go to another dentist and find out what they have to say. its worth the visit. just like with any doctor -- always get a second opinion. there are dentists that do A LOT of unnecessary work. there are corrupt dentists like there are corrupt everything else. welcome to the united states in 2006.
