Nooooo. Bad idea. It has so much thickness you'll never get it defrosted evenly, and by the time you would get it thawed on the inside (like forever) you'd almost certainly have partly cooked the outside. Worse come to worse, sink it into a five gallon bucket of COOL water, which you keep changing out as the frozen turkey makes the water even colder. You have to keep the water from balancing the temperature of the thawing turkey, or you will get no further temperature transference from the colder turkey to the warmer water.

Fastest way to defrost a turkey is to take it out of the bag and put it in a sink filled with Hot tap water... Drain & refill the sink with hot water about every 1/2 hr or whenever the water cools...

Hot water would be better than microwaving it. Microwaving it will make it tough.

Put it in the freezer and go buy another thawed one at the store.

Good luck either way.

No it's so unsafe. I tried it one year I had the worst turkey ever. I don't really want to mention how my house almost got on fire when I did that.

Put the bird back in the freezer for another time and run to the store and buy another one that's thawed, it'll save you the headache
