Ok now that we clarified the difference between racism and religious intolerance we can answer the question.....
Yes it is unfortunate that people are so intolerant for each other's religion. There is no way one religion can convert the billions of people of a different faith.... so lets just deal with it. I'm sure if Jesus, Mohammed, and Abraham (and any other religious figure) heard our instigating and bickerring at each other they will regret their teachings. I'm set on my stance and beliefs.... but does not give me a right to degrade someone else's views

No. religious intolerance and hate on Yahoo! Answers is not a form of acceptable racism.
Racism is the belief racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. This is not acceptable.
Religious intolerance is self explanatory this is a different problem and it is also not acceptable.
If by accepted you mean that they should be allowed to post such comments then I agree that they are and that they should be.
It is necessary that these views be expressed and not punished or censored in anyway so long as they stay on the right side of the law. This is the only way that people will be educated enough to change their views in a way that allows society to move on and better itself.
Yahoo! Answers is the perfect place to do that because there's no threat of stigma, if you're wrong or if people disagree, you realise this very quickly and you allow yourself to be educated or not and then you move on. There's no threat of physical violence and only your pride, your points and/or your email account is affected.

Well, let me put qualifiers on that.
There does seem to be some acceptance, by people of certain religions, of the religious bigotry shown by their co-religionists.
And, really it's religious bigotry, not racism. When someone is castigating a person of another religion, I don't think that the abuser cares what ethnicity the person they are abusing is.
For how can he or she know, really?
So, to answer your question; it's not racism, it's religious bigotry, and yes, to a certain level it's acceptable to some here, if it's against those of another religion.
But I think that many people here who are offensive about the religions of others wouldn't be that way in person. If my thought is correct, then these folks do know that it's not acceptable. They indulge in it here because it's a safe place to peel back the veneer of civility and good manners and let their ugliness show; they can remain anonymous and the consequences are minor.
It's kind of like hate mail through the USPS; not easily traceable, it's the coward's preferred method.
And there *are* folks here who chastise their religious fellows when there is too much vileness expressed.
So not everyone thinks that such behavior is acceptable even on terms of anonymity.

I have been reading alot of the questions here on Yahoo, and find that the intolerance can go both ways. If we truly want to understand each other, we need to look in the mirror at ourselves. Racism, intolerance, bashing, etc,. is an excuse for throwing out all morals and values that we ALL carry in our hearts (God given). Some may do it just to be heard, some from bad experiences, some for lack of knowledge, etc. It's time to stop this and ask real questions that will encourage us all. My suggestion is........ lets try to understand and love, if we want acceptance, then we ALL need to start asking legitimate questions that actually help the situation, not hinder it. God bless all!

Any kind of Hate is wrong and people who are suppose to be religious should know that any Hate is wrong. I think if all people from all religious backgrounds were to come together I think they would see they pretty much all have a common goal. However, you are always going to have those people who are pure D crazy with their religious views and interpretations that it makes it hard for others to want to know anything about that religion. Every religion has it's crazies. I don't put any religion down, because I'm not the Judge, I know that in every religion there are good decent loving people who are wanting to live good decent lives. We just live in a Crazy world with people who do hateful things and say it's God's word, when in fact it's not. I don't think people are being hateful, I just don't think they understand. I think when they see someone blow up buildings in the name of their God, they just figure everyone in that religion is the same way. Sad, but true. Men are some hateful beings and it saddens me when they use their hate and try to say it's godly. When we all know it's not.

Racism is intolerance of a particular race... because OF that race. Has nothing to do with Religion at all. So no, it's not a form of racism. It's a form of Intolerance.

Yes.
Thank you for that thoughtful question.
Intelligence is one of the hot topics that is debated here under the disguise of religion.
It is also a strong undertow in classism, that is linked to racism.
The story goes:
The less a person knows, the less money they tend to make, the more likely they are to be a minority- and thus not intelligent enough to know better or afford the variety of experiences high culture has to offer that would inform them answers to the bigger questions.
At least, that is what the grand narrative says, just below our threshold of consciousness, an assumption that colors our beliefs and our discussions, and undertows our sense of internalized racial superiority.
Yes-it is linked to racism.

I'm not too sure if there's something called "acceptable racism", Sir; because racism is repugnant and should be denounced.
Religious intolerance is equally bad.
Have a nice day.

nicely the only that I view as maximum detestable is racism. Why? in view which you could no longer pick what race you're. With faith, this is something this is a call extra or much less. With race you could no longer fool each and each guy or woman into thinking you're black or white or asian. With faith, you could convert to a minimum of something else or a minimum of lie approximately it and that'll close the guy up. So i might quite have somebody be illiberal of my faith because of the fact regardless of if I ought to alter it, a minimum of I surely have the possibility to get myself out of regardless of hazard could come. With racism, you're ****ed in certainty.
