True story.
A few nights ago, I went out onto my porch and found grocery bags...lots of them. Inside was a turkey, ham, loaves of bread and dinner rolls, juice, cranberries, fresh fruits and vegetables....all the ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner.
There were other items as well. This was a true care package, and most appreciated as I am a disabled single mother.
I didn't think anyone in my area was aware of our situation, but someone obviously was. I don't have a clue as to who might have shown such generosity, but I am curious...
In your opinion, who sent me these things? And has anyone ever shown such generosity to YOU?

Nothing like that has ever happened to me. You are very lucky that you have someone that cares about you so much. Obviously somebody thought that you were a lovely person who deserved a little helping hand.
If I were you, I wouldn't be too worried or preoccupied about who sent you these things. Just knowing that someone's thinking about you should be enough. People might get confused or feel awkward if you mention it to them and they were not the ones who did this for you, so I reccomend keeping it to yourself.
It must be so hard being, as you describe it, "a disabled single mother". Your children must be so proud that they have such a determined and strong mother. I know I'd feel blessed if I had a mother that loved me that much!
Have a lovely thanksgiving

It could be a number of possibilities. It could have been a church group, the Salvation Army, or any number of service organizations. I would guess that a neighbor or someone who comes in contact with your family probably suggested you. I'm a teacher, and I'm always being asked if I know of families that could use something like that. I've been on the recieveing end of generosity from friends and family but not from strangers.

Most likely it was some local church. I've heard of such things happening in my area as well. In fact, I usually volunteer to help feed the homeless in my area every Christmas Day.

such an action is a clue that there are still some humanity in human beings.
i respect any disabled person because he is gifted. yes, any disable mother like in your case who strive to bring up her children needs the all respect. I know that your disability makes u broader in mind, and thinking .
The person who helped u for that dinner is respected also for his good deed. Really, if all people were good , rich and healthy they would be very greedy and bad. such things make their soles calm down and think about others... it raises thier humane actions.
I am Muslim and i respect both of u.....the donor and you

Someone has been watching you and felt lead to leave the goodies for you. It is so much fun to do this as well as to receive an offering like this. I have given and I have received, as life has it's ups and downs. Enjoy the love. Part of the fun for the giver is that you never know who they are.

A few years ago, my little cousins were given Christmas gifts from the local volunteer fire company, as their parents couldn't afford to give them anything. They do this for all needy families, or families in crisis. If you're on any kind of public assistance, the charitable organizations find you and give you what they can. It could have been a kind neighbor, your fire department, local church... I think that is so nice! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Every church I have evr been a part of has done this. This year I did not help but usually I do. Members look around for those who might need the packages.

Yes, one year I was in dire straights, and a friend came over, and gave me $500 dollars. I was shaken from disbelief. I bought toys for my then little one, and bought some clothes for myself. I will never forget her generousity, and have paid it back 100 times over. I do believe you are too blessed to be stressed. I have no idea whom placed those goodies thare, but I do know that you are well thought of. Enjoy your bounty, for you are deserving in in the rewards, in the spirit of good will. Hugs

Of course I cannot say for sure - but churches often do this.
Someone may have seen that this could be a blessing to you and acted on it.
Our church does this at Christmas with toys, food, etc. It is a tangible way of showing God's love.
God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving!
