i have tried uninstalling and it will not let me uninstall.

Stay away from Popcorn - It is spyware at best and lameware at worst!

popcorn.net is malware/spyware and very insidious. Use Ad-Aware or Ewido or
Spybot Search and Destroy anti-spyware to remove!
