Go for S3 IS.Canon is the leader in cameras since years and sony is producing camers as a part of their business. There is no too much difference between 7.2 and 6.Using canon you can shoot video upto 1 gb file size continuoulsy but it is not pssible in H5.Canon has a good flip rorate LCD, and you can use thing to take good self pictures.Canon uses 4 batteries whereas H5 uses only 2. Using 2 batteries in these type of high optical zoom cameras is not good because you have to change your batteries frequenly. You can compare these cameras in http://www.dpreview.com.Go for S3 IS.
By the way, from where you are going to purchase S3 IS?And let me know the price at your place.Please.
