All homosexuals are not religious and should not profess to be christian/muslim whatever! I don't care what they do in their personal lives....just cause they were born into a religious family does not mean they can say i'm a "christian gay" or whatever!A christian by definition cannot be a homosexual!

And you are christian if you believe in the entirity of the message not just what suits you. One is not born christian! he's one if he believes in the entire message!

Not sure about in Islam, but in Christianity at least, the same set of OT scripture that says that homosexuality is "wrong" also bans the eating of most shellfish, and commands that "good Christians" should stone any non-Christian family members to death. I am not Christian, but as I understand the teaching of the man it is based on, you're supposed love other people whoever they are, not be such a bigoted ******, and "judge not less ye be judged".

If there is a God, if he has any integrity whatever, he will certainly put a kind gay person who practiced basic "Christian" principles well ahead of a hate-filled, venom-spewing bible-thumper, don'tcha think?....

The Bible does not condemn it. Look... most people, even priests and pastors, misinterpret the passages about homosexuality.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah? That's a warning against rape and inhospitality. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshipping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned.

Leviticus? Those passages were part of the Holiness Code which has been done away with and is no longer binding to modern-day Christians (or anyone else for that matter).

1 Corinthians? Mistranslation - the word malakee in this passage is used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.

1 Timothy? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.

Romans? In the passage the Greek words physin and paraphysin have been translated to mean natural and unnatural respectively. Contrary to popular belief, the word paraphysin does not mean "to go against the laws of nature", but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for that particular person. An example of the word paraphysin is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it seems to imply that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals, and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

Because human beings are sinners by design. There is no thing as a perfect Christian or perfect Muslim. We all make mistakes, we all have issues in our lives. If we were all following our religions to the letter the world would be full of saints and prophets. I am not making excuses, I am just looking at the reality.
Don't be so hard on people. Religions do not condone heterosexual fornication either, but I don't see a call to kick fornicators out of churches/mosques.

Some do. In some religions, homosexuals are tolerated. Some even elect gays to positions of oversight in the church. Although Catholicism frowns upon homosexuality, it still allows them to remain part of the church.

The Bible says that "men who lie with men" will not inherit God's Kingdom." (1 Cor. 6:9) True Christianity and homosexuality are not compatible.

You are a hypocrite. You claim to not care about what they do in their personal lives, yet you criticize their personal decision to believe what they want.

As for the Christian religion itself, this is a perfect example of how Christianity teaches hatred and intolerance towards others.

Also, what ever happened to "do not judge others"? In your question, you are clearly making a judgement toward others. Therefore, you are going to hell by your own beliefs.

Why all the bashing? Do you think Jesus would approve of bashing? You need to read "What's so Amazing about Grace". God told us in the Bible that we are to love the sinner, hate the sin. It is not up to us to change someone's way of life. If a gay person has accepted Jesus as their Savior, then God will change his heart, not us. We as Christians cannot keep judging people. That also is up to God. Be respectful of all people. God bless!

God loves homosexuals, and i would be more than glad to see homosexuals at church. homosexuality as an alternate lifestyle is a sin in the eyes of god, but does he not also tell us to hate the sin and love the sinner? he who has not sinned may cast the first stone.

then if you profess to be christian then you too should follow word for word

love the sinner hate the sin....
do not judge
need i go on ?
a person can call themself whatever they like ... if they have Jesus in their heart and believe he is their salvation ...
then how they live their lives is nothing to do with anyone else but them and Jesus

God had already provided everything for us including our mate. God had reason to prohibit homosexual for the good sake of mankind. God shall not see those who perform homosexual in the life after death. It is a serious sin.
