Wouldnt that be the life...yummy friend foods that wernt even fried!!! LOL, ya right like they would even taste as good! I agree with the last poster that you should use sunflower oil. It is ok to eat a little unhealthy sometimes as long as you dont eat like this all the time. I say go for it and enjoy your fried turkey! Have a good thanksgiving!

Hi, yes food can be fried without oil. Ioften dry fry curry spices when I make one and I have even dry fried an egg to cut down on calories. You do need a good non-stick pan though. It does catch more easily so youwill need to stir it more often. I have even fried onons and peppers in a drop of balsaic vinegar to use for a pasta sauce!

well yes but it is not a healthy choice you can use butter.
but your best bet would be to stay away from fried foods entirly.
go for dark greens and lots of vegetables. but as far as i know there is no alternative. although a healthier oil choice could make a difference you could use olive oil. but do not eat deep fried food when dieting or tring to get healthier. it is just not a good idea.
thx for the 2 points!☺

What would you fry it in otherwise? It is not the frying so much as at what temperature you fry so that the food does not absorb as much oil. Of course the amounts would add up, but frying at the correct temperature helps top cut down on unhealthy amounts. If you do not eat fried foods a lot, a little will not hurt you.

Of course, on a non-stick pan, but get a real good one at a Kiitchen Aplliance store that can take high heat and ask lots of questions. Revere is a moderate brand, Kitchen Aid is dependable. It depends on how much you want to spend.

If you use a 'griddle pan' you can cook food without oil, but if you need to use something to stop the food sticking use a small amount of water. (sounds daft, I know, but it really works!) Good Luck!

As long as it is not something that needs to be deep fried, then yes, for sure... use a non stick pan. Certain things such as schnitzels, chicken burgers can be fried in a low fat or non fat salad dressing (Italian dressing, for example).

This sounds weird, but it works!!! Use apple sauce, it cuts down on fat but it works the same way oil does!!! Try it!

Have a good day and Happy thanksgiving!
