Why don't you entertain your friends at home? Can't cook?

Expensive for food and takes up too much time to cook and clean. They can eat before they come over. :D

I have a number of friends who do not entertain because they feel they are bad at it or their home is too small and spartan. Pride in ones abilities and home are key in entertaining take away either or both and the person cannot comfortably host a guest. It is a very rare person who depends on friend and loved ones to come to see them and not their belongings - they usually wind up disappointed.

I always cook for my family and friends at home. I know some of my friends who either make arrangements for catered food or to go out do it because they are busy with school and have no time to cook.

I can cook, so can my husband, we've had people over a few times. But our house is incredibly tiny, and it's hard getting people together with so many hectic schedules. I'd love to entertain more if it were more feasible.

Because some of them do over stay there welcome.I'm not being horrible or anything they really do,like 2/3 days.
This is my little girls home not a hang out joint.
They would want to drink/smoke and I don't allow it in my home.
The mess they leave sometimes.
P.s My home is like a show home and I have nothing to hide. X

Anyone who doesn't entertain friends at home probably has something to hide. Perhaps it is a condition of financial modesty? Or the house is unpleasantly messy? Or maybe the person is simply unfriendly!

sometimes we do, but often times we prefer to just rent a place for celebrating something, too much mess to clean up !
