I was supposed to meet a friend who I've known for seven months in person last night.
During our phone conversation he said he wouldn't stay at the dinner any later than 9pm. We picked a restuarant to meet at. I told him to call when he was done dinner because it would be easier that way.
So 9:30 rolled around, still no call, and since I have been treated bad by men in the past, I figured he just decided to ditch out. The phone did ring, but when I answered, no one was there. I didn't have a # to reach him at and it didn't even occur to me to go check out the restaurant to see if he was there. I was a bit sad, so I made myself something to eat and went to bed a bit after midnight.
Then I get an email this morning (he send @ 11:35 pm last night) from him asking what was up? I don't have a computer at home so there was no way of me getting the email last night.
I don't understand. Was I supposed to meet him @ 9 or something? Wouldn't he have called? I'm confused. Did I stand him up?

I think you both got your wires crossed and if there is any way to contact him I would do so as soon as possible. I would explain the situation and he should understand. Be honest with him and tell him that you did not intend for this to happen. If for any reason he gets mad or does not want nothing to do with you, then he is not the one for you.

Dont be confused and dont assume much. Call the guy and ask him what went wrong tell him your side of the story and fix another date. Watch his reactions, this will help you in making up your mind. Its a 50/50 chance, things may go either way

I do think he should have called, and I would go forward carefully. I would email him and explain your confusion and ask why didnt he phone you. Afterall he had your number, you didnt. Something tells me there's something a little funny about this situation, but maybe give him once last chance. If it happens again, forget him.

You would have to ask him.
But, if you feel he is playing you, then cut off all communications with him.
Work on your own self esteem so that people cannot make you feel this way.

It appears to me that you are really confused and do not know certain basic rules. However forget him and sleep peacefully.Your time is running bad as such don't indulge with such things.

Don't worry about it, I don't think you stood him up, just seems like a mix up about plans made. I would have thought he would have given you his number for you to contact him.
