You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Yeah, a lot of people will be starting diets tomorrow, LOL!

The best diet is the one that you can stick with long term. It also depends on what your goals are.

You might prefer a slower weight loss diet like Weight Watchers. Count on losing 1-2 lbs a week.

You might prefer a faster weight loss diet like Kimkins. Count on losing 4+ lbs a week, many members lose 1 lb per day.

Or, you might prefer designing your own diet. Picking foods you like and counting calories. Count on 1-2 lbs a week. Maybe.

It's all about intake vs expenditure. The less/healthier you eat and the more you exercise, the more you lose. I do not agree with the concept of buying a book, joining a gym basically spending money on wanting to lose weight. The brain is a powerful thing. Good luck!
