Have it with, roast beef, roast potatoes and some diced carrots, gravy over the lot, brilliant!!

At Uni We Get Mince and mash potatoes and Brocilli and Carrots In Oure Yorkshire Pudding. But Its Best To Hav Small Yorkshire Puddings With Roast Beef, Roast Potatoes and Veg! x

This is the recipe:
Serves 4-6
300ml (½ pint) Milk
110g (4 oz) Plain Flour
1 Egg
Oil, Lard or Dripping
Place the flour in a bowl, then make a well in the centre and break in the egg.
Mix in half the milk using a wooden spoon, work the mixture until smooth then add the
remaining milk.
Beat or whisk until fully combined and the surface is covered with tiny bubbles.
Allow to rest for 15 to 30 minutes, whisk again before use.
Pre-heat oven to 220°C; 425°F: Gas 7.
Place a teaspoon of fat into 12 individual deep bun tins or a single large tin and place in the oven until the fat is very hot.
Pour the batter into the tins and bake for 10 to 15 minutes for individual puddings (or 30 to 35 minutes if using a large tin) or until risen and golden brown.
Best served straight out of the oven with a roast of your choice and veg with gravy.......mmmmm

I've always had a great success with the Nigel Slater recipes available on the Observer site. The recipe using sparkling water works really well. The mushroom gravy is also worth checking out

If you want to put something in your yorkshire then by far the best thing is bangers - toad in the hole is the food of kings!
Having said that I did used to go to a pub where their whole sunday lunch was served within the yorkshire, which was great though did get a little soggy!

A delicious accompaniment to any roast :)
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 cups whole milk
2 cups self raising flour
dash of salt & pepper
butter (enough to grease muffin tin)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and warm a muffin tin (this is the only way to get your Yorkshire pudding to cook properly, and that was told to me by a lady from Yorkshire so I believe it!)
In mixer bowl combine eggs, milk, flour and pepper & salt. Beat vigorously with fork for 1 1/2 minutes.
Pour in batter into preheated muffin tin no more than half-way. Bake in 400 degree F oven for 30 minutes. Serve with a roast, baked potatoes, and your favourite veggies.

Any time the oven goes on is an excuse to cook Yorkshire Puddings! Personally, I just like them with a dash of salt! Regarding recipes, Delia Smith has never let me down & she uses water & milk & not just milk - gives a lighter batter.

Blue Cheese Yorkshire Pudding:
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup 2% low-fat milk
1/3 cup (1 1/3 ounces) crumbled blue cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Cooking spray
Preheat oven to 450°.
Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl; beat at medium speed of a mixer until smooth. Beat at high speed 15 seconds; set aside.
Divide oil evenly among 8 muffin cups; coat sides of cups with cooking spray. Place muffin cups in a 450° oven for 3 minutes. Divide batter evenly among prepared cups; bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°; bake an additional 15 minutes or until golden. Serve immediately.
Yield: 8 servings

Yorkshire pudding goes with a roast dinner and gravy. Usually roast beef.
You can also have it with sausages.
As far as I'm concerned all you need is gravy

Hello.Yorkshire puds,you can put anything you like fruit & cream its just the same as a pancake so anything goes.And dont forget its also savoury so you can do mince a roast dinner with gravey even toed in the hole (sausage cooked and placed in a dish then pour y/pudding mixture over them put in oven medium heat )Yummie//so there you go its up to you what you want with your puddings. ENJOY!

Traditionally, roast beef and gravy. Sausages and onion gravy are also another favourite. But - want to try something really special? Try with honey and strawberries - out of this world!!

Yorkshire pudding is great with steak and onions or sausage and onions with small crispy roast potatoes on the top......smothered in gravy yummmm
