colon cancer..?

Hi every one, im sherwin from philippines, i just wana share to you guys my experience on this cancer matter. my mom is 48 yrs old and got a diagnosed colon CA last feb. 18 2006, and she run through operation to took off her large intestine and got s colostomy bag on her stomach. we got to knew that my mom was on her 3rd stage allready. after 2 or 3 months of operation she under go chemotherapy for about 6 monts. and her CEA was not decreasing instead it was i ncreasing its rate every month. after her chemo and decided to take a rest for a month, and make her CEA again our doc said that the cancer cells are spreading faster to her body that makes her liver afected a littlebit, and find out that it is on its 4th stage already, i would like to know that is there another chance fo my mom to survive? can my mom survive on her 4th stage cancer? Or is there another possible way to get through w/ this and make my mom live? thanks a lot guys. i am looikng forward to answer my question.

Patients with stage IV disease rarely live beyond 5 years, and the median survival (meaning half the patients live longer, and half shorter) with treatment is between 1 and 2 years.

Oh my gosh Sherwin I am so sorry to hear you, your mom and family are going through this. I lost my father to cancer in 1998. It originally started in the colon but ended up spreading to other parts too.

The doctors did all the chemo and radiation but in the end those treatments weaked his body so much he had no defenses to bounce back.

If you can find reputible group of doctors in your area who believe in treating the whole person through conventional medicine and alternative therapies (ie: prayer, food, supplements, visualization) your mom would have a better chance at surviving this.

I believe you want to do is build the immune system so new cells being produced can be healthy and strong enough to fight off any more free radicals from turning into cancer cells.

I've read that Cancer cells can not survive in an oxygen rich environment and it also thrives in an acid rich rich environment.

So, getting your mom on some powerful antioxidants to feed her cells would be a plus.

Go to a pharmacy to see if the have a kit to check Ph balance. If her body is more alkaline and she can eat change her diet until she is at a normal level. If she can't eat than there are vitamins that will do this.

I would recommend getting a book called, Healthy Healing by Dr. Linda Page and read the whole thing. Look for information that quickens your spirit, jumps off the page. I can't tell you if your mom will overcome this only God knows the answer to that. But you can fight it every step of the way.

Like I said, my heart goes out to you all. I know how much this takes out of you personally. Please try to take care of yourself in the midst of this because you need to stay healthy & strong.

I'd also like to suggest getting in prayer with God to find his peace and his direction in all of what I've suggested.

If she is not very weak and bedridden she might try what I did to cure my prostate cancer that spread to and blocked my colon. I took six 500mg capsules of ginger root powder, four times a day for three days. You said her liver is involved. You should probably try half the dosage that I used. But since I am not a doctor I can't say if she is even a candidate for treatment. The treatment is more difficult the sicker you are.
