I own a 30" Westinghouse LCD Flat-panel TV. I purchased the TV for an extreme discount, because otherwise I would not be happy with it. I have contacted customer service recently and they quickly answered my questions and solved my problems.

The television is very slow in computing images (scan). Specifically on action sequences such as Nascar, NFL replays, hockey games, and other fast acting images. Overall, if you don't want to spend the money Westinghouse is OK. I personally would not purchase another Westinghouse in the future. I simply think that there are better built televisions out there for a little bit more amount of money.

In today's market, I believe the best televisions are Runco and Sony LCD televisions, and Pioneer Plasmas.

Westinghouse televisions was sold in the eighties i believe to a japanese manufacturer, and the name probably has been resold several times since,, as it is good really only for the US market,, so the actual manufactuer would be hard to figure out, and may even be a chinese corp at this point. If the materials were high quality they would be a better known name. i would stick to sharp, samsung or sony, but who knows,, it may be a good deal for a decent TV.
