Technically, you cannot transmit a sore throat because it is a symptom and not a disease in and of itself. You can often transmit the disease that causes it. Aspirin, plenty of water and maybe a decongestant if you can stand taking the blamed stuff.

It could just be a sore throat from a cold or flu or it could be Mono. You need to go to a doctor if it persist over a few days.

Take some aspirin.

Gargle with salt water. Get a lot of juices with vitamin C - like orange and Lemon

My Dad used to give me a syrup of honey and lemon juice.

Get some rest and don't be kissing anybody until you know what you have.

BTW, Not Necessarily a Virus. I Think, By the Time One has this Symptom, they Are No Longer Very Contagious, I Think a Sore Throat is, Most of the Time, a Sign of a Effective Immune Response.

you can get a sore throat from another person after kissing...it could be a cold coming on, it could be strep throat, or it could be mono...you need to get to the dotor and make sure it isn't strep throat or mono...if it is they'll give you antibiotics to fight the infection...if isn't one of the two it's probably just a cold so take some viatmin C, get lots of rest, and drink alot of water..
