I asked a question today about predertimination and free will. you can read the original question if you like, but I think the responses speak for themselves actually. I just wanted to know are these responses acceptable no matter what the question is. I must admit that I am not religious, but I think those that claim to be shouldn't give responses such as these.

1) that is alot of BULLSH**

2)"my non-belief in deities" That makes you an atheist. That is your religion / belief
You consider anyone with a belief in the Creator, to be brainwashed, right?
Then so to have you been brainwashed, into unbelief

So why dont you shut up? Hypocrite

Do you as a religious person feel that this sort of remark is ever necessary or acceptable. Once again serious answers please.

I would hope that you received some intelligent or at least polite answers.....

what we say or write is a reflection of our character.... it is a tragedy how people denigrate each other.... somehow people think that writing something here where they are semi-anonymous and remain hidden behind a fake name, etc frees them from their responsiblity to act in a civil and cordial manner. The bible teaches we will be judged by our words.... it is a fearful thought.... God sees what we are doing, how we are using our faculties He has gifted us with....

if you can, please ask your question again and i hope a better segment of believers will answer....

god bless!!

I did not read the responses to your other question but want to comment on this please. I do NOT think you know what religion is therefore you may want to revise your question and ask again but anyway, hear is my response to this one.
You know how sometimes when reading a book or talking to someone a word is used that you do not know the meaning of but sometime during the converation or the reading the word defines itseld or is defined by it's usage in the text? Well, That is how the word RELIGION is defined. In the bible it is different then the definition of the dictionary becuase the dictionary rely's on history and what the word was derived from but not necessarily what it's usage once was.
If you have ever taken the time to read the HOLY scripture's you will see that even Jesus Christ was never called nor considered religous. Yet in todays world MOST people think religion is anything in relation to the bible, church, Jesus, Christ, or GOD! Why is that? I would like to know but you will see in the bible that it was the high preist and pherisies who were supposed to be men of GOD that are the religous one's. Those preist mentioned were then and are today the one's who show off and have all the bling bling relating to spiritual things. There is a huge amount of confusion in the world now and it continues to grow becuase people do not look for the truth anymore. They are lazy and just believe whatever is shoved down there throat about God in what is called church's! (Church is in reallity the Body of Christ) spiritually speaking. Even the scriptures say "Seek Ye first, the kingdom of GOD & HIS rightousness, and all these things shall be added unto you"!!! (You first)!
There is ssoooooo much information in every word of that phrase but you and many only see a small part of what is being said because like I said before people are lazy. This is to indepth to educate you on such an emense subject/question so I will leave you with this one SMALL example of why you can not take these respomses to your question seriously anyway! It is like the blind leading the blind. Have fun and I hope you find the truth before it is to late, whenever that may be!

I think it is totally unacceptable to answer a question despite if you are religious or not with profanity. One profanity is bad enough when it is spoken, but when it is written-it makes the writer look like they can't speak intelligently and courteously without expressing themselves belligerently.

Also, anybody that believes in something greater than themselves have not been brainwashed. Also, a person is not a hypocrite in their search for the truth.

A person can choose not to believe in something greater than themselves without adding responses that are profane and less than intelligent.

I don't mind people who are negative, as long as they debate the issue with a bit more substance and less profanity, and to show that they do have the intelligence to debate the issue.

Non-believers are free not to believe in something higher than themselves, but for the most part, you can see by their answers that they have a negative attitude towards the world they live in and maybe even themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I have found a few non-believers who answer with substance and intelligence and not out of anger, hatred, ignorance, or profanity, it is these ones that are in search for the truth.

Unfortunately by posting a question on a forum such as Yahoo, one unwittingly opens up to ignorant, borderline harrassment answers. Ignore them, they aren't worth your time.
There are some really good posters here and great questions and answers so stick around and don't let these people discourage you!

I am sorry that you received such answers, but let me answer your original question. When the earth was new and man had not sinned, we were predetermined to live in harmony with God, but when Eve and Adam sinned, our predetermined state changed to separation from God. God chose His Only Begotten Son Michael to be incarnated as Jesus and to be our propitiation for sin, in that way we get another chance to be predetermined to be in harmony with God, so this is our choice: 1) Choose to obey God and live with Him forever in bliss. or 2) Choose to disobey God and be made to be as if we never existed, another words permanent separation from God. Which is the second death from which there is no resurrection.

I am a stronger believer in God, I personally feel that if anyone is to say anything against god, it will be the best policy to keep quite and get away from that person. What I believe and what has happened in my life is something that only My God and I know.

I am a Christian and I get these types of answers to my questions too - from all types. My answer to you is even if someone was upset with your question, two wrongs don't make a right. I believe we should be nice to each other. Happy Turkey Day!

I've asked this question before and I got a lot of angry responses as well. Seems that some people feel very threatened by reality.

Free will is a genuine gift from God. He indwells us and in partaking in the choices of our life He is able to escape from the " shackles of absolutism" .

i am not religious but i think that if you are a religious person, you should act like one and respect everyone for their opinions and beliefs. ( like it says in the book.. love thy neighbor)
And stop trying to overbear people with your own belief.
Live and let live
