This may depend very much on what you are making/baking.
The two different creams will have different fat contents that can affect the end result.
Depending which country you are in as well - whipping cream sometimes has other added ingredients - like gelatine that help it to increase in volume when whipping.
Not sure if that helps at all....but good luck...if you don't have the right ingredient - maybe just give it a go & see what happens!!!

Heavy cream or heavy "whipping" cream, has 36 - 40% butterfat and when whipped it holds its form and doubles in volume. Heavy cream is used for filling and decorating pastries. So, no difference between heavy cream and heavy whipping cream. But, just plain whipping cream has a butterfat content of 30%. It whips but not as well as heavy cream, and will not hold its form long. Good for fillings but does not hold up well for piping.

Yes. You can. They use heavy cream to make whipping cream. They just beat the heavy cream and sell it. so, yes you can substitute whipping cream for heavy cream.

the two are somewhat the comparable ingredient, merely distinctive names. such quite some human beings us the heavy cream for whipping functions that it has replace right into a worry-loose call for it. Now, whilst you're attempting to loosen up your recipe, you could replace 0.5 and 0.5, notwithstanding it particularly is now not as wealthy. yet an alternate selection would be to apply 0.5 heavy cream, and 0.5 0.5 and 0.5. it particularly is amazingly some halves! Ha.
