There's thousands. Over 20,000 to be exact.

It really all depends on how you define "sect" or "denomination,"... sometimes, people have even come up with over 30,000.

Lemme find you some links.

Here is the list too many for me too count so I provided the link for you. The are denominations in the link like the one's you metioned. Make sure not to mix the name of church up as a denomination(You'll see) they list denominations and the churches under it. Also I didn't see Non-denomination churches which are Christian Churches - Like a First Friends or Joel Olsteen..Earnst Angely.. and many more... whcih overall may out number denomination churches. One isn't better than the other it's all how you feel comfortable praising God and his son. Of course some of the Denomination churchs like Catholics From my experience they worship Saints too which may be ok. From what I feel is that you pray to God and Jesus only worship God and Jesus. That's just some of the differences.

Hi here goes, Catholics,Eastern and Western Orthodoxy,Assyrian and Oriental.
Protestant, Anglian,Lutherian,Presbyterian,Anabaptists,Methodists,Baptists,
Pentecostalists,Charismatics,Quakers, Mormons and Jehovah witnesses, are among the main branches but even some of these have breakaway groups, so it is all very confusing.

how many stars are in the sky?

about the same number as denominations, sects, sub-denominations, splinter groups, wierdo cults that say they are christian, etc.

one website put the number around 34,000. I would say this is about a million or two too low.....
